Enterprise information systems contain masses of underutilized data about all key processes of a company. These data can be used to identify opportunities for process improvement such as bottlenecks, waste, and root causes of service level violations. General-purpose data analytics and machine learning methods require high levels of technical expertise and time investments, putting them beyond the reach of managers and business analysts. Process Mining tools allow managers to identify process improvement opportunities from execution data in self-service mode. In this talk, Marlon will show three case studies where managers and analysts have adopted process mining via short and targeted projects, in a bottom-up manner.
